State of California: Department of Financial Protection and Innovation

The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation is California’s watchdog agency that oversees financial service providers, promotes innovation and fair and honest business practices, and protects and educates consumers about potential risks, fraud, and abuse. They tapped Underground to develop campaigns that contained a full range of digital materials to inform borrowers about deadlines, rights, and regulations around their student loans. The materials we created not only reflected the diversity of California, they also created a hopeful and positive tone that ran through a full suite of redesigned web graphics, informational animations, and a family of social media and search advertising. Additionally, Underground produced web-based materials for their Office of Financial Protection and Innovation, which highlighted their team that informed and aided companies in financial technology.
