Children’s Council of San Francisco

Supporting Child Care Providers

Running a child care facility is not for the faint of heart. It not only requires the love of children, a person needs to be able to balance cash flow, manage technology, find new families, and negotiate important but often confusing regulations. Children’s Council of San Francisco helps child care providers with free assistance including training on child development, licensing, and resources to secure funding and grants.

Underground created a suite of visuals and messaging to help promote their services including social media assets, multi-lingual brochures and web materials. To help cut through the clutter, we developed strong and beautiful collage illustrations and empathetic and evocative headlines. It’s all part of Underground’s full suite of branding, design and advertising work that we’ve produced for Children’s Council.

Child care: San Francisco can’t work without it

It’s no surprise to anyone that the COVID-19 pandemic devastated families and businesses. But perhaps no group was affected more than frontline workers such as grocers, hospital workers, bus drivers and anyone else who was maintaining the services we all needed to live. All of these workers have one thing in common: They need child care in order to go to work. Underground partnered with Children’s Council to produce a series of fliers, postcards, videos, emails and social media assets to highlight just how essential child care workers are to our economy and to our lives.

The materials were targeted at elected officials, foundations, and other influentials, reminding them to support child care. After all, San Francisco can’t work without it.
